Toolroom Records Boss Mark Knight Returns

Toolroom Records Boss Mark Knight Returns

Proper Sundays welcomes the veteran DJ back to the Beta booth

Juggling a rigorous touring schedule, studio time, record label management, and a family life can be extremely difficult, as Mark Knight knows all too well. “I’m not a rockstar,” claims Knight in the opening sequence of last year’s documentary, Mark Knight: A Year In The Life. We would have to strongly disagree with the statement after watching the film.

Mark Knight is the co-founder of mega-label Toolroom Records, an internationally-renowned DJ and producer, visionary, and father to one son, Rupert. To get a good idea of how busy the man is, just check out his touring schedule or listen to his weekly show, Toolroom Radio.

The veteran DJ released another short film this year, Oddysey: A Short Film About The Art Of DJing. The documentary features interviews with many prolific DJs including Danny Tenaglia, Roger Sanchez, Andy C, and more, all speaking on creating a journey for the listener within each DJ set. Mark Knight spearheads the film, and even shares a bit of knowledge himself.

After nearly seven years, we are thrilled to welcome Mark Knight back to Beta for Proper Sundays June 04! Tickets to this event can be purchased via our Upcoming Events Calendar.

It's a great club. It really is. It's a wonderful sound system, a great booth. I'm sure if you speak to any of my colleagues, they'll say as I do, that it's one of the best clubs in America. - Paul Oakenfold
