Sound

In 2008, Beta Nightclub worked with our in house sound engineer, Michael McCray, to come up with a one of a kind FUNKTION-ONE sound system that would rival the best in the world. Since our opening in March of 2008, our sound system has gained a reputation of being one of the best and we have been nominated in the top five sound systems every year since. Every detail of the sound system was taken into consideration, from acoustical treatments and quality of wiring, to the placement and constant tuning of the processors. Beta’s sound is driven by over 100,000 watts of power and employs some of FUNKTION-ONE’s best dance club components.

In the Beatport Lounge we have a second FUNKTION-ONE sound system that has been recently upgraded, with an additional 18,000 watts of power and a tripling of the number of speakers, providing a true "club within a club" experience.

Lighting

While we focus on the talent and music here at Beta, no club would be complete without a lighting rig to compliment the dance floor. Beta, with a strong emphasis on being "green", utilizes a huge number of LED fixtures throughout the club. From our custom fabricated LED ceiling panel in the Beatport Lounge with over 700 individually addressable fixtures to the LED lighting in various locations in the club. Illumination on the dance floor is handled by an assortment of robotic fixtures, and with over 30 fixtures to work with; we are constantly reinventing the lighting show on the main floor. All of this lighting is controlled and maintained by our in house lighting engineer, Justin Ryan. Justin’s extensive experience in the entire spectrum of lighting design and control is evident in the brilliant shows witnessed on the dancefloor!

Visuals

Beta provides visual stimulation on the main floor with the use of a 21' diagonal, HD video projection system, complimented with multiple flat screen televisions throughout the rest of the club. The video signal is handled by Pioneer's premier video mixer and is routed by some of the highest quality video processing gear available. The real show begins with our in house video jockey, Aeonchild. He creates original content mixed with various video clips, using high end computer software such as VDMX and Modul8 to create a stimulating and original performance. Michael McCray has been nominated multiple times for Best Video System as a result of the video experience at Beta.

Beta is constantly upgrading and adding to club, and the video system is no exception. Keep an eye out for new LED panel configurations and additions!

Kryo

Denver has never experienced such a massive liquid nitrogen show as the system that is installed here at Beta! Since its debut in December of 2010, this has been one of the most exciting additions to our arsenal of production elements. The crowd explodes when the system is fired off! Going through almost 1000 liters a week, this Krygenifex system creates a dense fog for very short periods of time, while dropping the air temperature on the dance floor up to 30 degrees. The system is comprised of four jets that flank the video screen over the DJ booth. Kryogenifex, the industry leader for cryogenic systems for nightclubs, provided both the products and assistance with the design and installation of the system. It is currently considered one of the most efficient and powerful systems to date.

Go Go Dancers

Whether you're watching the Go-Go Dancers or talking with a Candy Girl, Denver-based Team EZ has all aspects of live entertainment covered. Expect to see eccentric outfits on gorgeous women at the front of the dance floor every night! If you need a quick snack or just want to grab a quick shot without having to go to the bar, our Candy Girls constantly roam the club providing fun libations and candy.
